Swiger Wins MAC East Player of the Week, Again

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Junior Stephanie Swiger was named the MAC East Player of the Week for the second week in a row on Sept. 25, announced the Mid-American Conference.

Swiger dominated the competition offensively and defensively this weekend, leading the Falcons to a pair of sweeps over Toledo and Ball State. Swiger paced the conference and was among the tops in the nation with a whopping 5.33 kills per game, including a 4.52 hitting percentage. The Findlay, Ohio native thwarted the opposition's offensive, swatted 1.00 blocks per game. She also added three service aces and six digs to her weekly resume. Swiger recorded 14 kills and six blocks against arch-rival Toledo Friday night, followed up by an 18-kill, .562-hitting percentage performance in the Brown and Orange's sweep over Ball State (30-22, 30-18, 30-19).
