Barnes Named MAC East Offensive Player Of The Week

Bowling Green, Ohio - Bowling Green State University redshirt freshman quarterback Freddie Barnes was named MAC East Offensive Player of the Week. The Chicago Heights, Illinois native set a BGSU record by rushing for 159 yards on 29 carries. He also scored on runs of 21 and 2 yards. He completed 12 of 19 passes for 82 yards.

His 159 yards rushing is the most by a Falcon QB since Josh Harris gained 148 in his third collegiate start at Ohio in November of 2001.
