After two rounds of play at the Nittany Lion Invitational the Falcons sit in 12th place after shooting a two round score of 665.
Leading the pack for the Falcons on day one was senior Jessica McCann. In her first round McCann fired an 81. She was able to improve her score by two strokes in the second round to finish the day tied for 24th with a score of 160.
After two rounds freshman Lauren Glew sits with 36-hole total of 164. Glew joined two other Falcons in the first round by carding an 81. Despite dropping a few shots in the second round, Glew was able to finish the day with a 166 (T-43).
Trailing Glew by a lone shot was senior Carley Hrusovsky. During the first round she joined Glew and McCann when she fired an 81. Her second round total of 86 would put her in a tie for 46th heading into the final round on Monday.
DeO'nna Anderson finished the day tied for 63rd with a 36-hole score of 172. At the end of her first round, Anderson recorded an 87. She was able to chop two strokes in the second round finishing out the day with an 85.
Rounding out the pack for the Falcons was sophomore Megan Gormley. Her score of 178 put her in sole possession of 68th place at the Nittany Lion Invitational after two rounds. Gormley improved from her 90 in the first round to finish the second round at a solid 88.
The Falcons will tee off on their final round of the Nittany Lion Invitational tomorrow. Play will begin at 9:00 a.m. with a shotgun start and awards to follow the final round.
