Tennis Falcons Double their Fun on Friday

ANN ARBOR, Mich. / MUNCIE, Ind. - Several members of the Bowling Green State University tennis team were in action Friday (Oct. 19) as the Falcons wrap up their fall season this weekend. One BGSU doubles team was in action in Ann Arbor, Mich., while several other Falcons were competing in Muncie, Ind.
Friday's Ball State Results in PDF Format
In Ann Arbor, the doubles team of senior Jenna Nussbaum and junior Kelsey Jakupcin was in action in the main draw of the Wilson/ITA Midwest Regional Championships, hosted by the University of Michigan. The Jakupcin/Nussbaum team lost to Wisconsin's Mirnova/Nusslock tandem by an 8-5 outcome in first-round action.
In Muncie, play in the Ball State Fall Invitational began Friday night, and Falcon competitors were unbeaten. Sophomore Samantha Kintzel, teaming with Western Michigan's Yuka Kobayashi, downed the BSU duo of Emma Rutter and Rachel Surowiec by a score of 8-6.
Junior Stefanie Menoff and soph Katia Babina also saw action Friday evening, posting an 8-4 victory over BSU's Jennifer Pollack and Hayley Hall.
The Ball State Fall Invitational continues through the weekend, concluding on Sunday (Oct. 21).
