BGSU Finishes First in Nine Relay Events

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio- The Swimming and Diving Falcons finished with top three finishes in all ten relay events, including nine first place finishes as they hosted the Tom Stubb Relays inside the BGSU Recreation Center at Cooper Pool.
The Falcons beat out Mid-American Conference enemy Akron and in-state foe Youngstown State in every event except the 1500 Free where they took second place behind the Zips. Their largest margin of victory came as they finished the 400 Medley in 4:06:45 compared to second place finisher Akron, who finished in a time of 4:18:55.
Bowling Green also took the top two spots in the 200 Medley with times of 1:48:25 and 1:52:56 respectively. In addition, they placed first and third in two events-the 800 Free and the 400 Medley.
The Falcons will open their season on November 2 as they travel to Eastern Michigan University to compete against the Eagles.
