Q: Where do things stand on the new arena? How about the facility study you did? You talked about everything being ready in the fall. Was this just more talk? Or perhaps it's time for another study?

A: The Facility Master Plan was completed and presented to the President and trustees earlier this fall - we will have a summary on our web site in the coming weeks. New Provost Shirley Baugher is now finishing a similar capital plan for the academic side of campus. Once finalized, expect a formal announcement of various facility projects and priorities on Bowling Green's campus. This will include academic initiatives, the long-awaited convocation center, a renovated and expanded student health center building and upgrades to BGSU's dining and residence facilities.
In the meantime, we continue to work on the convocation center and Ice Arena renovation. Lead gift fundraising is underway and programming and architect planning meetings are ongoing.
