Jacque Bernhardt Wins MAC Weekly Honors

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - On Monday, the Mid-American Conference announced that junior Jacque Bernhardt won Specialist of the Week for her performance at Texas Woman's University. Bernhardt only competed in one event Saturday night,the vault. That was all the Falcons needed, as she vaulted a near perfect 9.925 to win the event. This is a new career best and places her second in BGSU's all time vault scores. Bernhardt's previous career best came this year at 9.850.
"Jacque was really struggling on her floor warm-up and I think she just took all that frustration out on the vault," assistant head coach Carrie Beach said. "It was a picture perfect routine and as she landed it, I thought the judge was going to give her a ten."
Bernhardt is a native of Chandler, Arizona, and competes on vault and floor for the Falcons. She won Specialist of the Week award earlier this season for her performance on vault at Kent State.
Bernhardt and the Falcons return to action on March 24, as they host the All-Ohio. This meet will begin at 7:00 p.m. inside Anderson Arena.
