On Tuesday evening student-athletes from the gymnastics and softball teams made an appearance at the fourth, and final, McDonald's Falcon Kids Club party of the year. The student-athletes answered questions and played games with the kids at McDonald's restaurant on East Wooster.
Members of the gymnastics team in attendance included Jillian Stranges and Allison Swafford while Allison Vallas and Emmy Ramsey represented the softball team.
"This marked the first time we had student-athletes attend the party and you could see the kids really enjoyed interacting with them," said Falcon Kids Club Director Darin Ottaviani. "We will definitely continue having student-athletes attend in the future."
The gymnastics team finishes their regular season by hosting the All-Ohio Championships. They welcome in Mid-American Conference opponent, Kent State, and 21st ranked Ohio State. The meet will be held, tomorrow, Saturday (March 24) at 7:00 p.m. at Anderson Arena.
The softball team, 14-4 overall, will host their home opener against Mid-American Conference opponent Kent State on Friday March 30. The doubleheader is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m. at the BGSU Softball Complex.
