Football Begins Spring Practice Tomorrow

Bowling Green, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University football team will have 90 players out for the first day of spring practice Saturday at 9 a.m. The site of hte first practice will not be determined until the last minute due to weather.Sixty-six scholarship players will be joined by 16 returning walkons and eight first-time non scholarship performers.
"I think our players are anxious to get spring ball started and I know our coaches are excited about working with them," said fifth-year head coach Gregg Brandon.

Starters returning: 8 on offense, 8 on defense
Top rusher: Sophomore Chris Bullock, 769 yards

Lichtensteiger Up For Lombardi Award
Senior center Kory Lichtensteiger is on the watch list for the Rotary Lombardi Award (nation's best lineman). He was a first-team All-MAC selection in 2006 and was an Academic All-MAC performer. He was on the watch list last season for the Lombardi and Rimington Awards (top center).
He was a second-team All-MAC pick in 2005 and 2004.
