Fresh off the program's first ever trip to the Sweet 16 round of the NCAA Tournament, the BGSU Women's Basketball team will be honored in a Community Rally this Thursday, March 29th at 6:30pm inside Anderson Arena. Join us as we recognize the entire team and coaching staff on their amazing season, and help send off Seniors Ali Mann, Liz Honegger, Carin Horne, Megan Thorburn, Amber Flynn and Julie Gompers in style! The program will consist of words from BGSU President Dr. Sidney Ribeau, Bowling Green Mayor John Quinn, BGSU Director of Athletics Greg Christopher, Head Coach Curt Miller and select players, and a post-event autograph/meet-and-greet/photo opportunity session with the entire team.
Admission is FREE for all fans, and the first 500 in attendance will receive a FREE Commemorative Rally Towel, courtesy of Sky Bank! Other than the lot adjacent to the arena, there will be overflow parking available at the Perry Field House, with a FREE shuttle running continuously to-and-from Anderson Arena beginning at 6pm and following the completion of the event.
The Falcons, led by arguably the greatest Senior Class in BGSU history, had the most successful season in both school and Mid-American Conference history, going 31-4 overall, winning their third consecutive MAC Regular Season and Tournament Championships, and advancing to the 3rd Round of the NCAA Tournament.
