Wiemer Named East Division Player of the Week

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Mid-American Conference has announced sophomore pitcher Hayley Wiemer's performance at the Charleston Southern Tournament was the most outstanding amongst players from the East division and she has been named the MAC Player of the Week.
Wiemer, who was named tournament MVP, hit one homerun in every day of CSU tournament play and currently has four on the season. She posted a .625 batting average after going 10-16 and drove in eight RBI's.
Wiemer's game highlights include going 2-3 against Charleston Southern with an opposite field homerun, a walk and three RBI's and 1-2 against Hartford with two walks and one RBI. Against Providence, she was 3-3 including a homer and a pair of RBI's. The Sylvania native was 1-2 with two walks, a stolen base and a scored run against Campbell and also hit a homerun in loss to Brown. She was walked five times.
The Falcons will return to the dirt on March 16 for the Speedline Tournament hosted by the University of South Florida.
