BGSU Breaks Ground on New Track Facility

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - BGSU has broken ground for a new 8 lane track. The original site of Whittaker Track will remain the location, but the installation of a new 8 lane track with adjoining jumps and throws areas will be completed by mid summer 2007. Vasco Asphalt from Massilon, Ohio will complete the work. The total cost of the project is $768,672.
Head coach Cami Wells is very excited about the project, looking forward to having her athletes compete on the new facility next season.
"We are very excited to see the track project underway," said Wells. "It will be a great facility when it is completed."
