The Bowling Green State University women's golf team began their 2007 MAC Championships on Friday afternoon, through a longer, tougher course, but also through some tough weather conditions. At the mid-way point (36 holes) the Falcons are currently in eighth-place following a 36-hole score of 671 (341-330).
Leading the way was senior co-captain Kari Liggett and her back-to-back 81's. She is currently in a tie for 16th.
Juniors Amanda Bader and Carley Hrusovsky each fired an 86 to open the tournament and followed with 83's for a 36-hole score of 169. They are each in a tie for 31st.
Rounding out the Falcon golfers were Jessica McCann (171, 34th) and Lindsey Jonkhoff (178, 38th).
Round three will begin at 7:45 a.m. on Saturday morning, with the final round of competition taking place on Sunday morning.
