Falcon Volleyball Holds Recognition Banquet

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University volleyball team held their recognition banquet on Sunday, April 1st. Players, coaches, staff and supporters were recognized for their contributions to an '06 season in which the Falcons went 26-6, including a school record 17 wins in a row, and a trip to the MAC Tournament finals.
Several players were given individual awards:
Offensive Player of the Year: Stephanie Swiger and Kendra Halm (second year in a row)
Defensive Player of the Year: Chelsey Meek
Outstanding Competitor: Chrissy Gothke (third year in a row)
Most Improved (Fall): Elizabeth Simon
Most Improved (Spring): Meghan Mohr
Rookie of the Year: Corey Domek
Best Teammate: Corrie Mills (second year in a row)
Coaches Award: Kendra Halm
Player of the Year: Chrissy Gothke (second year in a row)
4.0 GPA's in the Fall: Kaitlin Jackson, Stephanie Swiger, Chelsey Meek, Shari Luther
4.0 GPA's in the Spring: Kaitlin Jackson, Corrie Mills, Maggie Karges
