Bowling Green Falls to Kent State, 63-49

KENT, Ohio (AP) - Chris Singletary scored 20 points and hit the first and last baskets of a 12-0 run to start the game to lead Kent State past Bowling Green 63-49 on Saturday.
The Golden Flashes (13-3, 2-0 Mid-American Conference) came out hot and never looked back. Singletary opened the scoring with a jumper 22 seconds after the tip before Mike Scott hit the first of his two layups during the spurt.
Al Fisher added a basket and Mike McKee made a jumper before Singletary hit a layup. Bowling Green (6-8, 1-1) did not score until Darryl Clements had a bucket at the 15:54 mark.
Scott added 14 points and 11 rebounds for the Flashes, who led 30-20 at the half and led by as many as 19 points in the second half.
Nate Miller had 17 points and Clements 11 for the Falcons.
