GMAC Bowl- Countdown to Kick-Off

MOBILE, Ala. - As day five came and went, the Bowling Green State University Falcons were given a chance to slow down, walk-through their final game preparations and mentally focus on the Tulsa Golden Hurricane.
The final walk-through of the season ended with an impromptu game of two-hand tackle pitting the coaching staff versus the seniors. Though head coach Gregg Brandon officiated over the event, no clear winner was recorded. To the amazement of most of the observers a few members of the coaching staff could still run with the best of them ... even if it was just in short spurts.
The night ended with a Mardi Gras parade through downtown Mobile and a viewing of Charlie Wilson's War for the team.
Now that the festivities are over, its time for the main event - BGSU vs. Tulsa. Ladd-Peebles Stadium. GMAC Bowl.
Hello for the last time,
I'm writing my blog for the final time tonight and I completely understand if you're not heartbroken. I have had a blast being down here and relaying all the activities back to our loyal Falcon fans. Today was the first time we've had to really stop and take a deep breath. There were no Bowl activities planned for the team today since it is the day before the game. We finally got back in the pre-game swing, after more than a month since the Toledo domination. We can all sense the atmosphere shifting away from the festivities towards the game and we're ready to play!
Since I'm not going to have the chance to say this in any other public forum ever again, I just want to say it has been an absolute privilege to put on the Orange and Brown. I am an extremely lucky man to be able to play football at such a great university with great fans. Words cannot describe how much fun I have had and the memories I have made will last a life time. I want to thank all those who support BGSU athletics. You're support means so much to all of us.
Go Falcons!
Kory
