Falcons Set to Battle Cleveland State Vikings

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Falcons (15-7, 5-3 MAC) will take a break from Mid-American Conference play to wrap-up their five-match road trip with a mid-week tilt against Cleveland State on Tuesday (Oct. 21) at 7:00 p.m. The Falcons will then return home to Anderson Arena for a four-match home stand starting with hosting Head Coach Denise Van De Walle's alma mater, Ball State on Friday (Oct. 24) at 7:00 p.m. The Orange and Brown will continue MAC cross-over play against arch-rival Toledo on Saturday (Oct. 25) at 3:00 p.m. The Falcons lead their arch-rival Toledo 47-12 in their all-time series and 24-2 in the series at Anderson Arena.

The Falcons will wrap-up their 2008 non-conference schedule against Cleveland State ... the Vikings are currently, after falling to UIC (1-3) and Loyola (2-3) in Horizon League play ... the last meetings between the two teams took place in 2006 where the Falcons and the Vikings split their two match-ups ... the Falcons won their first meeting in '06 (3-1) at the Denver Invitational, however the Vikings won their final meeting in '06 and most current match-up (3-2) at the Oakland Invitational.
