Falcons Finish Second at Huskie Classic

The Bowling Green State University women's golf team fired a 36-hole score of 640 (317-323) to finish one shot off the lead, posted by Loyola University (327-312--639). The Falcons matched Western Illinois (640) for second-place honors, while the host Northern Illinois finished fourth (642).
Not only did the Orange and Brown finish one stroke off the team championship, sophomore Megan Bader was one shot shy of the individual crown. The Lima, Oho, native carded a 36-hole score of 156 (79-77) to finish one shot behind Loyola's Nikki Miller (79-76--155).
Megan Gomley, who opened the final day one shot off the tournament lead, finished fifth, carding a 157 (77-80).
Also competing for the Falcons were Lauren Glew (162, T-10th), Marisa Glew (166, T-20th) and Paula DiFrancesco (166, T-20th). Hannah Lambert finished in a tie for 13th, firing a 164 (86-78), competing as an individual.
Up next for the Falcons is a trip to Daytona Beach, Fla., for the 2008 LPGA International, set for Oct. 10-11.
