* BGSU rolled to a 28-0 halftime lead on the team's most impressive offensive opening half of the season ... the Falcons picked up 330 yards in that first 30 minutes ... BG's previous first-half highs this year were 24 points and 215 yards, both in Cheyenne, Wyo.

* The first two carries of Rice's collegiate career were runs of 12 and six yards to end the first quarter.
* Then, on the first play of the second quarter Sheehan handed the ball off to Rice, who threw to a wide-open Chris Wright for 42 yards, down to the KSU 12-yard line ... the pass, as mentioned, was the first of Rice's collegiate career.
* Rice, obviously, had career-high totals in rushes, rushing yards and passing yards ... his total of five tackles also was a career best ... Rice entered the game with a total of seven tackles this year.
* Five plays later Sheehan found Corey Partridge on a one-yard touchdown pass to put the Falcons up, 14-0. It was Partridge's fourth touchdown in as many games.
* Anthony Turner had opened the scoring on an 11-yard run in the opening quarter ... it marked his third rushing score of the season and the 20th of his BG career ...
