BGSU and Buffalo Face-Off for the Inside Track to the MAC East Title Friday, Nov. 21

The BGSU Football team returns home Friday, November 21 to take on the Buffalo Bulls in a key MAC East Division showdown. Kickoff is set for 6:00pm at The Doyt. Winners of two straight, the Falcons once again control their own destiny in the road to Ford Field in Detroit and the MAC Championship on Friday, December 5. With wins in their final two games (11/21 vs. Buffalo & 11/28 @ Toledo), BGSU would be crowned 2008 MAC East Division Champions.

BGSU Athletics has teamed up with campus and community partners to put together an extensive promotional program surrounding the game. Fans, BGSU faculty, staff and students are all invited to participate:
COMMUNITY AND CAMPUS
*The game has been declared an ORANGE OUT...all fans are encouraged to wear orange. Both University Bookstore and Student Book Exchange (SBX) are offering 20&OFF all orange BG apparel items from Monday, November 17 through Friday, November 21.
*University Dining Services will be closing down all on-campus Dining Halls at 3:00pm on Friday, November 21 and relocating to a tent on the EAST side of Doyt Perry Stadium in the Falcon Football Tailgate Park. Food service will be available from 3:30-6:00pm, there will be LIVE music from 3:30-5:45pm, and Residential Meal Plan Dollars, BG1 Cards, Cash and Credit will be accepted. The menu will be as follows:
MEAL - ONLY $6..........BEVERAGE - ONLY $1
- Choice of ONE sandwich (shredded chicken, hot dog, garden burger)
- 8 oz. chili con carne or vegetarian chili*
- Nachos and cheese
- Choice of beverage
*Second sandwich may be substituted for chili option.
Food service in the Bowen-Thompson Student Union and campus convenience store locations will remain open.
*A campus-wide Office Decorating Competition will be held, with judging taking place on Thursday, November 20. The theme is "Falcon Football Finale" and the Office of Campus Activities (OCA) will conduct the competition. The offices selected as "Best of Show" in the two-division competition (large offices -- 11+ employees; small offices -- 10 or fewer employees) will receive football game tickets and usage of the Wilcox Board Room in the Sebo Athletic Center before and during the game. BGSU STUDENTS
*FREE orange t-shirts will be distributed to the first 2,000 BGSU Students through the gates of The Doyt. Gates will open at 4:30pm.
*ONE lucky BGSU Student in attendance will win FREE textbooks for the Spring 2009 semester, courtesy of University Bookstore (winner to be selected at random from the BGSU Student Sections at some point during the game).
*ONE lucky BGSU Student in attendance will win $500 in the finale of the season-long ROLL ALONG! Ca$h Giveaway, courtesy of BGSU Athletics (eligible students must have attended all five 2008 BGSU Football home games…notification of winner to take place in the weeks following the game).
*ONE lucky BGSU Student in attendance will have a shot at $10,000 on-field at Halftime in the ROLL ALONG! Target Toss Challenge (participant to be selected at random from the BGSU Student Sections at some point early in the game).
*Ca$h Prizes will be awarded to the TOP 3 Res Halls in attendance (to be determined by % of hall in attendance)…1st Place - $250, 2nd Place - $200, 3rd Place $150.
*The Res Hall Council of the top Res Hall in attendance (to be determined by % of hall in attendance) will be awarded a Pre-Game Pizza Party prior to a select BGSU Hockey home game remaining on the 2008-09 regular season schedule, courtesy of BGSU Athletics.
*$500 in Adidas credit (provided by BGSU Athletics) to be split amongst the Top 3 Greek Orgs. in attendance (based on % of org. in attendance).
*The top Greek Org. in attendance (to be determined by % of Greek Org. in attendance) will be awarded a Pre-Game Pizza Party prior to a select BGSU Hockey home game remaining on the 2008-09 regular season schedule, courtesy of BGSU Athletics.
