FARMINGTON HILLS, MICH. - Bowling Green State University sophomore forward David Solway has been named the Offensive Player of the Week in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association for his performance over the weekend in the Falcons' sweep of Northern Michigan, the conference office announced Monday.
The Green Bay, Wis. native scored both goals in BG's 2-1 win over Northern Michigan on Friday (Nov. 14). His first goal of the game came with just 1:40 left in regulation time sending the game to overtime. He then ended the contest with a marker at 1:57 of the extra period, his first game-winner of the season and third of his career.
In the contest Saturday night (Nov. 15), he again played a role in the game-winner. Solway earned an assist on the game-winning goal by linemate Dan Sexton with just 2:14 remaining in regulation time. BG also won the Saturday contest by a 2-1 score.

Solway, who had 15 points (nine goals, six assists) in his freshman season at BG, has scored a point in eight games this season, including five of the last six games during which he has scored nine points (five goals, four assists). He has scored nine points in eight league games.
The Falcons will go into their series this weekend against Notre Dame with an overall record of 5-5-2 while their mark of 4-3-1-0 is good for a third-place tie in the CCHA.
