BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (BGSUFalcons.com) - The University at Buffalo rallied to defeat the Bowling Green State University football team, 40-34, in double overtime at Doyt L. Perry Stadium Friday night (Nov. 21). A few notes from the game ...
* With the win, Buffalo clinches the East Division title ... Akron still has a chance to tie UB in the final MAC standings, but the Bulls win the tiebreaker based on a win in the teams' head-to-head meeting.
* Friday marked BGSU's first overtime game of the season ... it was Buffalo's fourth OT game of the year, and the Bulls' third in the last five games.
* The Falcons are now 4-3 all-time in overtime games, including a 2-3 record in home games ... the last home game that went to OT came in Buffalo's last trip to Doyt L. Perry Stadium, a 48-40, triple-overtime victory ... the complete list of BGSU's OT games ...

* Friday marked UB's first-ever win at Perry Stadium ... BG leads the series with the Bulls, 4-2, and the Falcons now have a 2-1 record vs. UB both in Bowling Green and in Buffalo.
* Freddie Barnes had 10 receptions to tie his career high ... Barnes had 107 yards receiving, just six shy of his career best.
* Barnes' game marked the Falcons' first 100-yard receiving game of the year.
* Diyral Briggs picked up his eighth sack of the saeson, a career high ... his previous best was a seven-sack season in 2006.
* Tyler Sheehan ran for a team-high 70 yards and two touchdowns ... they were his sixth and seventh rushing scores of the season, giving him 10 for his career.
* BGSU ended the contest with four rushing scores, two each from Sheehan and Anthony Turner.
* Kenny Lewis intercepted his fourth pass of the season and the 10th of his career ... Lewis returned the pick 22 yards, his 15th play of 20 or more yards this season.
* Prior to Friday, Barnes had not had a reception since Oct. 18 ... Barnes has battled injuries since that time.
* The Falcons had taken a 14-0 halftime lead, the third-straight game that BGSU blanked the opponent in the first 30 minutes ... BGSU held halftime leads of 28-0 vs. Kent State and 14-0 vs. both Ohio and UB.
* In the last three games, the Falcons have dominated the first half in several categories: points (a total of 56-0), first downs (40-11), total yards (720-274), passing yards (499-136) and rushing yards (221-138).
* When Buffalo scored midway through the third quarter, it ended a streak of 101:25 without the Falcons allowing a touchdown.
