Women's Golf Sits in First at Falcon Invitational After 36 Holes

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University women's golf team placed five golfers in the top-10 en route to a 36-hole lead at the Falcon Invitational with a score of 629 (315-314).Senior Carley Hrusovsky and freshman Lauren Glew sit atop the leader board after carding 155's.

As a team the Falcons' scores of 315 and 314 are the two lowest rounds of the tournament. Their combined 629 leads Siena College (632) and fellow Mid-American Conference opponent Ohio (655). The Bowling Green "B Team" has a 54-hole score of 669.
As mentioned before Hrusovsky (80-75) and Lauren Glew (75-80) lead the tournament with scores of 155. Senior Jessica McCann sits in a tie for fourth with a 156 (80-76) and Lindsey Jonkhoff is tied for eighth with a score of 163 (80-83).
Leading the "B Team" was sophomore Hannah Lambert 163 (85-78) and Megan Gormley 164 (85-79). Lambert sits in a tie for eighth, while Gormley is tied for 11th.
Other Falcon competitors included Megan Bader (170, T-15th), Marisa Glew (172, T-18th) and Amanda Bader (172, T-18th).
The 2008 Falcon Invitational will conclude on Tuesday morning with a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start at Stone Ridge Golf Club.
Notes:
* Falcons as a team lead the tournament in par-3 (3.28) and par-5 (5.35) scoring (3.28).
Hrusovsky Lambert and Glew all averaged 3.00 strokes on the par-3's, tops in the tournament.
*McCann's 5.00 average on the par-5's leads the tournament.
Lauren Glew's five birdies are top in the tournament.
*The tournament's first 36 holes averaged 82.91 strokes. Six Falcons are averaging better then that.
