BGSU Track and Field Host BGSU Challenge

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Falcons will host their annual BGSU Challenge on Saturday Jan. 17 at Perry Field House, starting at 11:00 a.m. Price of admission for adults will be five dollars, three dollars for children under the age of 18, two dollars for college students (with I.D.) and free for BGSU students (with I.D.).
Bowling Green State University will be hosting eight schools including five Mid-American Conference teams. The MAC schools participating in the event are Ball State, Ohio, Miami, Toledo and Eastern Michigan. The non-conference schools include Cincinnati, IPFW and Oakland.
The BGSU Challenge will kick off with the weight throw, long jump and pole vault at 11:00 a.m. Simultaneously at 12:00 p.m., field events will finish with high jump, triple jump and shot put; then track events will begin with the 5,000 meter final. Track events will then follow with the 60 meter preliminaries at 12:30 p.m., 60 meter preliminaries at 12:40 p.m., mile final at 12:55 p.m., 400 meter final at 1:10 p.m., 60 meter final at 1:30 p.m., 60m hurdle final at 1:35 p.m., 800 meter final at 1:40 p.m., 200 meter final at 1:50 p.m., 600 meter final at 2:00 p.m., 3,000 meter final at 2:10 p.m. and the 4x400 meter relay final at 2:30 p.m.
