BGSU Finishes Day One of Raleigh Relays Setting

RALEIGH, N.C. – Bowling Green opened competition at the Raleigh Relays on Friday, turning in solid performances and personal best efforts across both the track and field events.
The day began in the field with the triple jump, where Bianca Staples led the Falcons with a mark of 11.79m to place 13th, while Sabrina Imes followed closely at 11.71m.
On the track, Morgan Patterson paced Bowling Green in the 100m hurdles, clocking a 14.42 to finish 25th overall. DaMya Barker crossed in 14.49, with Christabelle Obi posting a 14.86. In the 100m, Kiera Bonds recorded a 12.19, while freshmen Delaney Jones (12.38) and Ava Bowman (12.43) made their outdoor debuts.
Reagan Campbell highlighted the 400 meters with an impressive 55.12, placing 20th overall. Tyyetta Herman (57.00) and Syerra Greber (57.24) followed, with all three athletes recording personal bests.
In the 1500 meters, Reese Reaman led the Falcons with a personal-best 4:23.66, while Rachael Hoover added a 4:26.70 and Marissa Boone finished in 4:42.07.
The evening concluded with the 5000 meters, where Kylee Cubbison posted a 16:16.03 to finish among the top 30, and Regina Rose added a personal-best 16:56.98.
Bowling Green returns to action Saturday for the final day of competition, scheduled to begin at 11:15 a.m.
