Women's Golf To Play At University of Dayton Fall Invitational On Monday
October 16, 2009 | Women's Golf
The women's golf team at Bowling Green State University will continue their 2009-10 season on Monday at the 36-hole University of Dayton Fall Invitational, which will be held at the NCR Country Club in Kettering, Ohio.
The UD Fall Invitational, naturally hosted by the University of Dayton Flyers, is a two-day event with separate men's and women's tournaments. The women's event will be held on NCR's North Course, which is par-70 and laid out over 6,358 yards from the course's longest tees.
Each day of the tournament will consist of one 18-hole round and will begin with a shotgun start at 10:00am. Bowling Green will send five players, and the lowest four scores in each round will count towards the team's score.
Bowling Green will be one of nine schools participating in the women's tournament. Ohio University will join the Falcons as representatives from the MAC. Other schools include host school Dayton, Chicago State, Cincinnati, Detroit, Evansville, Valparaiso and Indiana-Purdue-Indianapolis.
In their last tournament, the Orange and Brown had a solid final day to finish in 13th at the Duramed MAC Preview. Freshman Susannah Grunden posted the best individual tally for the Falcons, placing 11th.
A full recap and results from each day will be posted shortly after the conclusion of each round.
