THE GAME
The Bowling Green State University women's basketball team, after a fifth consecutive Mid-American Conference regular-season championship, heads to Cleveland for a quarterfinal-round game in the MAC Tournament ... the Falcons of head coach Curt Miller, the top seed in the East Division, will face Central Michigan University ... tipoff is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Friday (March 13) at Quicken Loans Arena (20,562) ... CMU is coming off a 67-59 win over Akron in Wednesday's (March 11) first round ... the BGSU-CMU winner will advance to Saturday's (March 14) semifinal round, playing either Toledo or Ohio in that day's first game (noon tip).

CMU leads the MAC in scoring, steals, turnover margin and three-point field goals per game, and the team ranks among the nation's top-20 in all four categories ... the team's explosive offense features junior forward Britni Houghton, an All-MAC Second-Team selection; senior guard Angel Chan, who earned all-conference honorable mention; and guard Brandie Baker, who was named the MAC Freshman of the Year ... senior guard Latisha Luckett and junior forward Kaihla Szunko round out the Chippewas' probable starting lineup for head coach Sue Guevara ...
