Falcons Head to the Lone Star State to Wrap-Up 2009

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University gymnastics team will continue their spring break trip to the Lone Star State. The Falcons will compete in a quad-meet in Denton, Texas against host Texas Women's University, No. 11 Arkansas and Penn on Friday (March 13) at 7:00 p.m.

THIS WEEK'S MATCH-UPs ON THE MAT
Falcons vs. Pioneers • (3/13 • 7:00 p.m.)
The Falcons will match-up against host Texas Women's University ... the Pioneers are currently 3-12 overall after placing third at a tri-meet behind No. 7 Oklahoma (196.125) and Illinois State (191.750) ... the Pioneers lead the Falcons 2-1 in the all-time series ... the last meeting between the two teams was in 2007 when the Falcons fell to the Pioneers 194.825-192.575 placing fourth at the quad-meet.
Falcons vs. Razorbacks • (3/13 • 7:00 p.m.)
The Orange and Brown will take on No. 11 Arkansas for the first time in program history ... the Razorbacks are currently 6-4 overall and 3-3 in the SEC after falling to LSU, 195.800-196.150 ... despite never competing against each other the Falcons and the Razorbacks still have something in common as junior Breanne Guy competed for the Razorbacks before transferring to BG.
Falcons vs. Quakers • (3/13 • 7:00 p.m.)
BG match-up against Penn for the first time in program history ... the Quakers are currently 6-14 on the season after falling to Centenary 191.650-189.300.
FALCON FREAKY FRIDAYS
The Falcons will compete in their second Friday the 13th match-up at the quad-meet hosted by Texas Women's University. Earlier this season (Feb. 13) the Falcons bucked the Western Michigan Broncos, 192.975-191.600, BG's second highest team score of the season in their first "Freaky Friday" match-up of the season.
SIX DEGREES OF FALCONS
Despite never competing against each other the Falcons and the Razorbacks have something in common as Breanne Guy has competed for both BG and Arkansas. Before coming to BG Guy was a member of the Arkansas gymnastics team.
FALCONS FINISH FOURTH AT UC DAVIS
The Bowling Green State University gymnastics team finished fourth at the UC Davis Quad Meet (March 8) with a score of 192.400, the fifth-highest team score of the season. The highlight of the meet was the Falcons' performance on the floor exercise. As a team the Orange and Brown combined for a score of 48.500, their second-best mark of the season on floor.
