Falcons Break into AP Poll at #25

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (BGSUFalcons.com) - The Bowling Green State University women's basketball team has broken into the top 25 of the Associated Press Poll. The Falcons are ranked 25th in the country according to the latest AP poll, released Monday (March 2).

The Falcons received 74 points in this week's poll, outdistancing Kansas State (63 pts.) for the final spot in the top 25. BGSU's appearance in the AP poll is the program's first since the end of the 2006-07 season, when BGSU ended the season ranked 20th.
Head coach Curt Miller's current team is also ranked 25th in the nation in last week's USA Today ESPN Coaches' poll (Feb. 24). The new edition of that poll is scheduled to be released Tuesday (March 3).
Miller and the Falcons are 25-2 overall, and 14-0 in Mid-American Conference play, heading into a Wednesday (March 4) game at Miami. Then, the Falcons will return home for a Saturday (March 7) contest vs. Ohio University to close the regular season. Wednesday's game at MU begins at 7:00 p.m., while Saturday's game starts at 2:00 p.m. at venerable Anderson Arena.
