Falcons Sit in 16th at EKU Invitational

RICHMOND, Ky. -
The Bowling Green State University women's golf team carded a 36-hole score of 669 to sit in 16th at the EKU Invitational, hosted by Eastern Kentucky. The Falcons, who carded a 341 in the opening round, improved by 13 shots in round two, firing a 328.
Central Arkansas leads the 18-team field with a score of 609. Eastern Michigan (613), Toledo (617), Richmond (622) and Murray State (624) round out the top five teams.
Megan Gormley is the top Falcon, sitting in a tie for 31st with a score of 159. The junior opened with an 80 and followed that up, improving by one shot, scoring a 79.
Sophomore Megan Bader had a strong showing on day one, scoring a 166. Bader opened with an 84, but like Gormley, improved on round two, carding an 82. She currently sits in a tie for 66th.
The twin Glew sisters finished third and fourth for the Orange and Brown. Lauren Glew sits in a tie for 89th (85-88 - 173) and Marisa Glew is tied for 94th (92-84 - 176).
Hannah Lambert improved by 11 shots in the afternoon, opening with a 94, but fired an 83 in round two. The junior sits in a tie for 80th.
The final Falcon competitor was Paula DiFrancesco. The freshman, who competed as an individual (her scores do not count towards the team score), sits in a tie for 80th with a 36-hole score of 170 (86-84).
Round three begins at 9 a.m. on Easter morning.
