The Bowling Green State University women's golf team will host its annual Falcon Invitational this week, beginning on Tuesday, April 15, at Stoneridge Golf Club in Bowling Green, Ohio. The 54-hole event will feature a field of six teams.
The Field
Bowling Green, Detroit, Oakland, Ohio, Toledo and Youngstown State
The Course
The Falcon Invitational will take place on Stoneridge Golf Club, featuring eighteen beautiful holes of links-style golf with always great conditions, consistent greens, and a different challenge on every hole, it's no wonder Stone Ridge has been recognized as one of northwest Ohio's best golf experiences.
The women will play off the white tees, measuring in at 5,983 yards (Par 72).
Tee Times
Round One - Shotgun start at 8 a.m.
Round Two - Will begin at 1 p.m.
Round Three - 9 a.m. (Players will take off from hole #1 or #10)

MAC Championships Are Nearing
Following the Falcon Invitational BGSU will head to the Cleveland State Invitational on April 20. The following week the Falcons will be in Nashport, Ohio for the 2009 MAC Championships (April 24-26).
Last Time Out
The Bowling Green State University women's golf team finished 18th at the EKU Spring Invitational with a 54-hole score of 1,006. The Falcons opened with a 341-328 on day one and shot 337 on Easter Sunday.
Fellow Mid-American Conference opponent, Toledo, won the event with a score of 912. The Rockets were followed by Central Arkansas (919), Eastern Michigan (923), Richmond (933) and Murray State (942) to round out the top five team scores.
The Orange and Brown were led by Megan Gormley throughout the tournament. The junior opened with an 80-79 and shot 83 on the final 18 holes. Gormley finished in a tie 47th among the 100-player field.
Megan Bader finished second for the Falcons, carding a 250. The sophomore shot 84-82 on day one and finished with another 84 on the final day of competition. Bader finished tie for 67th in the tournament.
Marisa Glew had the best round on Sunday among the Falcons, carding an 82. The sophomore finished the 54-hole event with a score of 258 (92-84-82), finishing in a tie for 87th.
Rounding out the Falcon competitors were Lauren Glew (262, T-94th) and Hannah Lambert (265, 98th).
Also competing for the Falcons was Paula DiFrancesco, as an individual, meaning her scores did not count towards the teams' total, She finished the tournament with a score of 262 (86-84-92).
