BG Baseball Team To Play Doubleheader Saturday

KENT, OHIO - With rain in the forecast for Sunday, the Bowling Green State University baseball team will play a doubleheader today (April 18) at Kent State. The first game is now scheduled to start at 12:30. The second game will begin shortly after the conclusion of the first contest.

The Falcons opened the series Friday with a 9-2 victory breaking a nine-game losing streak against the Golden Flahses behind the complete-game pitching of Brennan Smith. With the win, BG moved to within a game and a half of Ohio for first place in the East Division of the Mid-American Conference while they begin play today also one game behind Kent State.

Bowling Green and Kent State shared the regular season and East Division MAC titles last season.
