Falcons Fourth at MAC Championships After Day One

AKRON, Ohio - A trio of Falcons recorded points for the Bowling Green State University track and field team on day one of the Mid-American Conference Championships in Akron, Ohio to help the Orange and Brown to sit in fourth after one day of competition.
Leading the way was senior Whitney Hartman, who recorded a Regional mark of 186-10 in the hammer throw to finish third in the event, capturing six points for the Falcons.
Both Kara Butler and Sabrina Forstein walked away with four points in their selected events. Butler finished fifth in the 10,000 meters with a time of 36:58.13, while Forstein also finished fifth in the pole vault with a mark of 12-01.50.
Day two of the Mid-American Conference Championships will begin on Friday morning.
