Cami Wells Inducted Into North Dakota Track And Field Hall Of Fame

Bismarck, N.D. - Bowling Green State University's cross country and track and field coach Cami Wells was inducted into the North Dakota State Track and Field Hall of Fame in a ceremony this weekend. The event took place at the North Dakota State Track and Field meet in Bismarck, N.D.
Wells was a standout runner at Dickinson High School in Dickinson, N.D., where she placed at the state meet as an eighth grader and went on to win the state title in the 800 as both a sophomore (in 1988) and as a senior (in 1990). She led Dickinson High School to a state championship as a senior, scoring 23 points in the state finals by placing in the top four in four different events (winning the 800, running the anchor leg for the runner-up 1600 relay team, placing third in the 400 and fourth in the 1600).
Wells went on to compete collegiately at Drake University and was a three-time Missouri Valley Conference champion, winning the 3000 twice (and setting the MVC record in the process) and running as a member of the 3200 relay team.
