With the win, the Falcons improve to 2-1 on the young season, while the Penguins drop to 0-2.
Prochaska had 24 points and 10 rebounds in just 24 minutes of action. She scored 12 second-half points in just over seven minutes before checking out of the game for good with 12:59 remaining.
Hennegan was a perfect 7-for-7 from the field, adding up to 14 points, the highest total of her BGSU career. Four of her five rebounds came at the offensive end of the court.
Four Falcons hit double digits in scoring, as sophomore Allison Papenfuss scored 11 points off the bench, while senior Tracy Pontius had 10.
The Falcons had an enormous 56-30 rebounding advantage, and BGSU had 25 second-chance points to the Penguins' three. BG also forced 17 YSU turnovers, including 12 in the first half.
Brandi Brown led the Penguins with 12 points, while Bojana Dimitrov added seven. YSU suited up just nine players, with all nine seeing action and eight playing 16 minutes or more.
For Curt Miller's club, all 15 players on the active roster got into the game, with 11 finding the scoresheet and no fewer than 13 grabbing at least one rebound. No Falcon played more than 24 minutes.
Twelve different BGSU players had at least one assist in the win. Two nights after recording just six assists on 25 baskets in the Creighton game, the Falcons had a total of 19 assists on 28 hoops vs. YSU.
The BGSU defense held the Penguins to just 25.0 percent shooting from the field in the win, including a 6-for-33 (18.2%) effort in the second half.
BGSU started slowly, turning the ball over on the first two possessions. But, a steal by Prochaska led to a YSU foul and a pair of free throws by the senior, who was 8-for-8 from the stripe on Wednesday.
Brown's layup tied the score, but Hennegan took an entry pass from Prochaska and hit a layup to give the Falcons the lead for good. Hennegan would score six consecutive BG points, grabbing an offensive board and putting the ball back up and in, then taking sophomore Chrissy Steffen's pass and knocking down another jumper for an 8-3 BGSU lead.
Papenfuss hit a pair of free throws, then -- after YSU scored four-straight points to cut BG's lead to 10-7 -- fed Steffen for a jumper that sparked a 7-0 run. Papenfuss had an offensive rebound and an 'and-one' put back to give the hosts a 15-7 advantage with 12:19 left in the half, and Prochaska followed with two more free throws.
As a team, the Falcons were 22-of-26 from the stripe, for a free-throw rate of 84.6%, in the win.
Brown hit a jumper for the visitors, but Hennegan scored after another Prochaska pass, beginning a 6-0 run. Prochaska scored on a putback, and Hennegan's easy layup off of a Pontius bounce pass gave the home team a 23-9 lead as the Penguins used a timeout.
Pontius and Prochaska stepped outside the arc several minutes later. With 8:21 remaining in the half, Pontius knocked down a three-point field goal to begin a 9-0 run. Freshman Noelle Yoder's pass found an open Prochaska at the 7:14 mark, and the Falcons' career leader in three-pointers made added another trey to her total.
Less than 30 seconds later, Papenfuss snagged an offensive rebound in traffic and kicked the ball out to an open Pontius for yet another triple. When that shot went through the net, the Falcons' lead was 36-14 and the Penguins took another timeout.
Dimitrov snapped her team's drought with a three-pointer of her own, but Papenfuss answered with a jumper, and Steffen's steal and uncontested layup gave the Falcons a 40-17 advantage witih 4:20 left before halftime.
Prochaska closed the first-half scoring with another trey in the final minute of play. The falcons were 8-of-24 from three-point land on the night, making four long-distance shots in each half.
If there was any doubt about the outcome, Prochaska and the Falcons removed it by the first media timeout of the second half. The senior scored 10 points in the first 3:46 of the period, including two more three-pointers. Her second trey in that stretch capped a 12-0 run and gave the hosts a 59-23 lead.
Prochaska hit her final two free throws with 12:59 left, before taking a seat on the bench for the remainder of the game. YSU responded with six consecutive points to cut BG's lead to 62-34, but freshman Jill Stein hit a putback with 11:19 left. Stein scored five-straight BG points over a two-minute span, and a Papenfuss layup gave BG a 69-36 advantage with just under nine minutes remaining.

The teams traded free throws, before senior Chelsea Albert's layup gave the Falcons a 76-40 advantage. That shot began a game-ending 12-0 run.
Junior Jessica Slagle, who assisted on Albert's shot, proceeded to score five consecutive points. She stole the ball and headed in for a layup, then took Albert's pass and hit a three-pointer from the corner in front of the BG bench.
Halfhill drained a pair of shots from the stripe, and Yoder's three-pointer closed the scoring with 77 seconds left.
