Weston, Zuccaro Named Papa John's Athletes Of The Week

Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Papa John's Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are men's soccer player Max Weston and women's soccer player Alyssa Zuccaro.Male Athlete of the Week
Max Weston, a junior from Worthington, Ohio, had a goal and an assist in Bowling Green's 3-0 win over Wright State Wednesday at Cochrane Field. His assist came on a crossing ball just 2:37 into the match and his second half goal helped ice the match.
Female Athlete of the Week
Alyssa Zuccaro, a junior from Mentor, Ohio, helped the Falcons to a 2-0 start in MAC play with a hat trick against Buffalo and an assist on the game-winner in a 1-0 win over Kent State. She had the first hat trick by a BGSU player since November of 2004 and it was only the second hat trick in a MAC regular-season game in the history of the BG program. In the win over Kent State, her assist came with just 8:27 left in regulation for the 1-0 victory.
