Lacinak, Wishart Named Papa John's Athletes Of The Week

Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Papa John's Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are baseball player Andrew Lacinak and gymnast Danielle Wishart.

Male Athlete of the Week
Andrew Lacinak, a freshman from Reading, Ohio, turned in his best performance of the season on Sunday, going 6.1 innings and striking out three batters. The left-hander allowed just one run, which was unearned, at Western Michigan. He allowed only four hits and his season ERA improved to 3.43.

Female Athlete of the Week
Danielle Wishart, a junior from Bethesda, Md., scored a pair of 9.875's at the MAC Championship this weekend, helping the Falcons to a fifth-place finish with a score of 193.150. Wishart finished second among 42 competitors on the vault and placed third on the floor with a career-best score.
