Falcons Open MAC Play With Games Against Ohio And Akron On The Road

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio. -- The Bowling Green State University softball team opens MAC play Friday afternoon, facing off against Ohio in a road doubleheader. The Falcons will then head to Akron for a two-game set with the Zips. Bowling Green fell to Michigan in their most recent contest, losing to the Wolverines 12-2 on the road. Bowling Green opened MAC play last season with back-to-back losses at home to Kent State (April 1, 2011), before dropping both games of a doubleheader to Buffalo the following day (April 2, 2011). The Falcons went 12-32 in MAC play last season, and didn't earn their first conference win until April 17, 2011 (10-2 over Toledo).
