The Falcons broke the scoring drought of the top of the third, thanks to a solo home run from Dick with one out to put the score at 1-0.
Bowling Green added two runs in the top of the fourth, crossing home two times on three hits in the inning. Berger led off the scoring rally with a double to left field, before moving to third on a fly out in the following at bat. Sophomore Katie Yoho singled up the middle to bring Berger home, putting the score at 2-0 in favor of Bowling Green. The Falcons scored one more run in the frame thanks to a bases loaded sacrifice fly from sophomore Erika Stratton, giving BG the 3-0 lead.
The Orange and Brown continued to swing the bats, scoring another run in the top of the fifth on two hits. Fulk doubled to start the inning, before moving to third on a groundout to the pitcher in the following at bat. Berger then came to the plate and brought Fulk home with a single down the left field line to give Bowling Green the 4-0 lead.
Fulk added the final run in the top of the seventh, belting a solo shot to left center to secure the 5-0 Falcon victory.
