Victoria Griffin Named MAC Swimmer Of The Week

Cleveland, Ohio – Bowling Green State University freshman Victoria Griffin has been named the Mid-American Conference Swimmer of the Week.
Griffin won three individual races and was part of two winning relay teams in meets against Miami (Ohio) and Xavier over the weekend. She remained unbeaten in the 100 freestyle, placing first with a time of 51.38 at Miami and then following that up by winning at Xavier the next day in 51.43. Griffin also won the 200 freestyle at Miami in 1:51.08 and was a part of both the 400 freestyle relay and 200 medley relay teams that won at Xavier. Griffin is a combined 5-0 in the 100 and 200 freestyle this year.
Bowling Green, now 1-2 on the season, will compete next at Oakland Friday at 4 p.m.
