A’uston Calhoun Named MAC East Player Of The Week

Cleveland, Ohio – Bowling Green senior forward A'uston Calhoun has been named the Mid-American Conference's Men's Basketball East Division Player of the Week. Calhoun averaged 17.0 points and 10.0 rebounds in two contests to earn the award for the second time in his career.
Calhoun had his fourth double-double of the season Wednesday night as the Falcons won their first road game of the year, beating Northern Illinois 57-41. He finished with 15 points and 12 rebounds, adding a blocked shot and a steal. In a tough 72-63 road loss at second-place Ohio Saturday, Calhoun had 19 points and eight rebounds. He was also 9-of-11 at the free-throw line on the week.
Bowling Green is currently 9-14 on the season and 4-6 in MAC play, good enough to sit in a tie for sixth in the league standings. The Falcons will host third-place Western Michigan Wednesday night at 7 p.m. All kids 12 and under get in free for the game.
