Cross Country Earns All-Academic Distinction For 12th Consecutive Year

NEW ORLEANS, La. --The United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association released its annual list of All-Academic teams for the 2012 season on Monday (Feb. 25). The Bowling Green women's program was named for the 12th consecutive year, while the men earned the honor the third time in the past three season.
The women earned a cumulative GPA of 3.4917, ranking fifth among the nine schools named from the Mid-American Conference. The men earned a 3.533 cumulative GPA, ranking first among the five MAC schools who earned the honor. To achieve USTFCCCA All-Academic status, a team must compile a minimum GPA of 3.0 and must send at least five runners to compete in the team's NCAA regional meet.
