Falcon Baseball Holds Annual Super Bowl Raffle Fundraiser

The Bowling Green State University baseball program held their annual Super Bowl Raffle over the weekend, the biggest fundraiser the team puts on each season. Over 1,000 tickets were sold, with the top winner taking home $1,500. In total, 25 prizes were given out, ranging from Falcon baseball gear, game-worn jerseys, and tickets to BGSU basketball and hockey games.
Five grand prizes were awarded after the first 20 prizes were handed out. The 5th prize, which was won by John Carver, was four tickets to a 2014 Toledo Mudhens game and $25. Tom Bressler won the 4th prize, four Cleveland Indians tickets and $50. The 3rd prize was four Cincinnati Reds tickets and $50, won by Jim Thomas. The second prize was four Detroit Tigers tickets and $50 cash, taken home by Denise Miller. The top prize, which was won by Trina Basalyga, was $1,500 and a gift certificate courtesy of DiBenedetto's.
Falcon baseball begins the 2014 season in just 25 days, when they take on Belmont in Nashville, Tenn. Coming off a MAC Tournament Championship in 2013, the Falcons will look to defend their crown and return to the NCAA Tournament in 2014.
