Swimming and Diving Picked Third In MAC Preseason Poll

Bowling Green, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University swimming and diving team has been picked to finish third in the Mid-American Conference for the 2014-15 season, according to the preseason coaches' poll.
The Falcons, led by Head Coach Petra Martin, are ranked behind defending MAC champion Akron (ranked 2nd) and MAC runner-up Miami (ranked 1st).
Martin is in her fifth season with the team and led the Orange and Brown to back-to-back third place finishes in the MAC Championship meet the previous two seasons. The team finished in sixth- and eight-place in her first two seasons with the team.
BGSU hosts the Tom Stubbs Relays at 4 p.m. this afternoon at Cooper Pool. The Falcons will compete in an all-relay meet against Toledo, Akron, Youngstown State and Findlay. Tomorrow, the swimmers and divers will be back in action for the annual Jean Campbell Alumni meet at 9:30 a.m.
