Davis And Carrillo Continue Strong Performances At Mexican Nationals

Queretaro, Mexico – Daniela Carrillo and Estela Davis continued their strong performances as they compete in the Mexican short course National championships through tomorrow night. Carrillo is competing with Estado de Mexico and Davis for Chihuahua.
Both athletes saw success in yesterday's events, but Carrillo's national record tying 50 breaststroke performance highlighted day three of the competition. In last evening's 200 backstroke finals, Davis took first place overall by over three seconds with a 2:11.24
Both Carrillo and Davis competed in the preliminary 200 individual medley this morning, placing sixth and 14th respectively. Carrillo placed eighth in the finals. She also placed sixth in the 50 freestyle prelims and went on to finish eighth overall in the finals this evening.
Davis won yet another backstroke event, swimming a 1:01.73 in the 100 backstroke finals.
Tomorrow, the meet concludes with a morning and evening session. Live results can be found HERE.
