Holmes Named Madness Mid-American Men’s Basketball Player of the Week

College Sports Madness Men's Basketball Conference Players of the Week (12/29/14)
Bowling Green, Ohio – Bowling Green State University senior Richaun Holmes has been named the Madness Mid-American Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week, it was announced today by College Sports Madness (www.collegesportsmadness.com).
In the Falcons' lone game of the week, Holmes led BGSU in points, rebounds and blocks, as BGSU went on the road to defeat the University of South Florida, 79-70. The win was the first-ever win for the Falcons over the Bulls.
The 6-8 forward had a team-high 19 points, nine rebounds and four blocks on Sunday afternoon versus a big front line for USF. He also had five offensive rebounds in the game as well. Holmes had a put back dunk over two USF defenders with less than three minutes to go in the contest to help seal the road win for the Falcons.
Holmes has now scored in double figures in seven different contests for the Falcons on the season and leads the team in scoring (14.5 points per game) and rebounding (9.1 rebounds per game) on the year.
