Frank, Pettigrew Named Pizza Hut Athletes Of The Week

Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Pizza Hut Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are baseball pitcher Mike Frank and track and field athlete Jeanette Pettigrew.
Male Athlete of the Week
Mike Frank, a senior from Maumee, Ohio, allowed just one hit in seven innings of work, giving up one unearned run in a victory over Northern Illinois. He took a no-hitter into the sixth inning and earned his first win of the season. The decision gave Frank his first win of the season.
Female Athlete of the Week
Jeanette Pettigrew, a senior from Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, achieved MAC automatic qualifying marks in the 100, 200 and long jump as the track and field team opened the season. Pettigrew ran the 200 in 23.88 seconds, the best non wind-aided time in BGSU history. She currently ranks 27th in the country in the 200 and in the top 50 in the long jump.
