BGSU Swimming Named Scholar All-America Team

Bowling Green, Ohio – The College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) named the Bowling Green State University swimming program as one of 146 teams recognized as 2013 Fall CSCAA Scholar All-America Teams. With a 3.43 team grade point average, the Falcons tied for 26th in the country.
The Scholar All-American award is presented to college and university swimming and diving teams that have achieved a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The award is presented twice annually, once in the fall semester and once in the spring semester. Founded in 1922, the CSCAA is the oldest professional organization of college coaches in America.
Bowling Green recently completed the 2014 swimming season, finishing third at the Mid-American Conference Swimming and Diving Championships. Five student-athletes were named all-conference, including one first-team honoree in freshman Victoria Griffin. With the announced addition of diving for the 2014-15 season and renovations to the Student Recreation Center, in which Cooper Pool is housed, BGSU Swimming will continue to make strides in the future.
