Pettigrew Breaks School Record At Mt. SAC Relays
April 18, 2014 | Women's Track and Field
Walnut, Calif. – Bowling Green State University senior Jeanette Pettigrew broke her own school record in the 200, competing at the prestigious Mt. SAC Relays Friday. Pettigrew also set a personal best in the 100, posting the fourth-best time in BGSU history.
Facing an elite field, Pettigrew ran the 200 in 23.80 seconds, bettering her previous best of 23.88 seconds. She finished 12th out of 57 runners at the meet, including third in her heat. She had previously set the school record at the Raleigh Relays to open the 2014 season.
Pettigrew also competed in the 100 Friday at the event and set a new personal best with a time of 11.84 seconds to finish 26th out of 71 runners. Just a week ago, she ran 11.89 seconds to set a new career best but improved upon that time. It is the fourth-fastest time in BGSU history and the fastest since Jessica White ran an 11.79 in 2007.
Jasmine Redman will complete Bowling Green's competition at the Mt. SAC Relays at approximately 10 pm Pacific Time (1 am Eastern) tonight in the 5000. The rest of the Falcons will take part in the Kentucky Relays Saturday.
