BGSU women's hoops standout to visit Belgium, France & Holland
Donovan was invited to join the Global Sports Academy for a nine-day trip to Europe. Donovan and her teammates on the Global Sports Select/All Star Team will train, compete and tour in Belgium with trips to Holland and France.
"Our program is thrilled that Erica has been afforded the opportunity to participate in this tour," said BGSU head coach Jennifer Roos. "Promoting international goodwill and playing against international competition will be a great educational experience for her."
Donovan's team, coached by Tiffin University head coach Pam Oswald, left for Europe on Sunday (Aug. 10), and is slated to play a total of five games against local competition during the trip.
In addition to Donovan, two other Mid-American Conference players are on the team, as Ball State University's Renee Bennett and Haley Richardson have made the trip to Europe. The eight-woman squad also includes two players each from Tiffin University and Malone University and one from Dartmouth College.
